Business Sites

For Ketterman Stone Designs, I would pick Grant's design because I think it is very neat and creative. I like that he used DIV layers, and his site looks really professional. For Chapel of Faith Funeral Home I would pick Courtney's because I like how she set it up. It looks really good. For VRC Racing I would choose Emily's because I like how she made everything in Photoshop. I also like her links. Her site looks really creative. For Williams & Associates I would choose Matt Stalnaker's because he did a good job creating his site. It looks professional and I like his links.

Dreamweaver

Something new I learned in Dreamweaver was how to insert a frame. This has made making a web site a lot easier because now I know how to get the links and title to stay still while everything else moves. I like frames because they make my website look more professional.

Photoshop

One thing I learned how to do in Photoshop is use the magnetic lasso tool. Another thing I learned was that I could cut a part from a picture and paste it on another page. The last thing I learned how to do was make a button. I would like to make a website for a Glass Etching business because I think it would be interesting.

End of 9 Weeks

During this past nine weeks, I learned a lot of helpful things. I learned basic HTML coding, which helped me to make my own personal resume. I also learned how to use Dreamweaver. I think the Design part of Dreamweaver is very easy because you don't have to go through and hand code like we used to. During the next nine weeks, I would like to learn every function of Dreamweaver so that when I am finished with this class I will know how to make a very creative website.

Personal Website

The most difficult element of creating my personal website was figuring out how to get all of my links to work. Every time I thought they would work I would click on them and they wouldn't work. I would have to go back and fix them and it was confusing.

Excel Chapter 2

In Excel chapter 2 I learned how to add a theme to my tables. I also learned how to put formulas into the cells, and how to copy those formulas to all the other cells. I think that is really easy now. For my public service flier I chose child abuse because I made a public service announcement in child abuse in a previous class and I know all about it.

Dreamweaver

I think my presentation went pretty good. I think I would like to do my presentation again because I left some things out, had some things misspelled, and didn't have some work samples. I think Dreamweaver is really easy and I like it a lot. I think it makes things a lot easier when making web sites. I like Dreamweaver way better than coding.

Table

Tables are easier to read and they can make your web site look better, and well organized. The coding for inserting a table is < table >. I think it is actually pretty easy to insert and table.

Basic Codes

One important code that I learned was how to insert a horizontal rule. The coding for making a horizontal rule is < hr >. Another important code that I learned is to insert an image on your webpage. The coding for this is < img src ="file name" >. It is very important to insert a link on your webpage too. The coding for a link is < a href ="website here" >. These make your page more interesting and not look boring.

Codes

I learned a lot of new codes this week. One of the codes I learned was <. This code changes the background color.

Learning styles

My three learning styles were body movement, language, and musical. Body movement says I incorporate body movement into my learning to help me process and retain information better. Language says that I enjoy saying, hearing, and seeing words. Musical says I try to incorporate sounds into my lessons, such as using a familiar tune, song, or rap to teach spelling rules, or to remember words in a series for a test. My worst learning style was math, and I agree with that because I hate it.

Coding

I think appropriate behavior for the internet getting on sites that are helpful and doing what you are supposed to be doing.  Inappropriate behavior for the internet is getting on sites that are blocked and not doing what you are supposed to be doing.  I have done some HTML coding already for Myspace.  I already knew how to make things underlined, bold, and italic.  I also learned how to make a background color and to put a horizontal rule.  I think HTML coding is pretty easy now that I have got the hang of it.

What I know about Websites.

I don't have a clue about webpages.I don't know anything about coding or html, so hopefully I'll learn something...
